I saw this on Amazon for $114, and that was a lot better than another one listed for $400. I looked online for reviews, and then went back to Amazon. It was up to $127. I looked on eBay - $117 with free delivery. That's just $9.00 more than it cost me to build a double-neck. This one is a bit smaller than the one I made, but it's very well made, and it sounds nice. What's even better is that it came in a padded case, so I won't have to make one. I'm going to replace that double-throw toggle switch (bottom right) with something less industrial looking.
I have a kmise 4 string that cost me $50. It sounds great and all of the you tube videos with the more expensive ones will never make me think less of it!! They make a great product for the price. Good on ya!!

They certainly do. I bought a Kmise 5-string for $50.00

Nice! The build quality of string instruments has gone through the roof. It's almost impossible to buy a dodgy instrument today. Now, they're also paying more attention to 'set-up' and being ready to play out of the box.
This was AUD $50. It's a well made second from the Eco factory. Sounds great, solid bear-claw spruce top (small, sound defect), funny little emoji fret markers, ready to play. This concert has a set of cello/viola-5ths-tuning strings. I put fiddle/mando 5ths on my sopranos.

Beautiful! I like having a veneer on the headstock. The inlays on the fretboard are nice. Yes, you can get a good uke for a reasonable price. Do you watch gotaukulele.com? He's good.

I'll give him a look. I like Manitoba Hal and The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain.
Their cover of Teenage Dirtbag is for the ages in my book!

I just came back from 'got-a-ukulele'. I check them from time to time.

I’ve got a friend Bernard in Melbourne that is in the Melbourne ukulele collective. He’s been playing for a long time and recording music with his band “The brass traps”.
Cheers

You have to be careful with that show. He has "forced" me to buy quite a few ukes.
What is the purpose of a double neck uke?

The lower neck has the traditional four strings, while the upper neck has eight strings. There is both a high and a low G, with all the others being doubles of the same note and same octave. It produces a very nice sound. It's like the difference between a 6-string and 12-string guitar.
Isn't that the instrument Jimmy Paige used for Stairway to Heaven?

Sounds like a good idea. Don’t know about ukes, but, my wife & I used to play 12-string guitars. Definitely a richer sound.

I've never brought my double-neck anywhere because it attracts more attention than I need.
