When taking education classes in college, I had a professor tell the class, when teaching, be very specific with directions on tests. The example; she once gave a true - false test with the directions "Indicate which answers are true or false". One student wrote their name on the paper, then a short note and handed the paper in. The professor thought the student hadn't studied and was taking a zero until she looked at what was written, the students answer "All of them" - she had to mark it at 100%
