These photos are great. I am curious why you think the horizon is off as there is nothing such as a lake that must be perfectly horizontal. My recollection of this area is that the landscape is often tilted and the original may well be the correct orientation. I surely would be happy to return to Utah to check it out!

Thanks, Ellen, in the one shot that was commented upon, I agree that the landscape went with the strata. You are, however, very correct that much of the appeal of the Utah geology comes from the upheavals and "topsy-turvy" appearance of many of our slopes. Come on back and check to be sure (LOL).

As the sun set lower and the storm clouds moved around us, the light in the various parts of the park provided wonderful photo ops.

Comments and suggestions are welcome.

Mike,
Beautiful photos, all of them! I really like #18, such a variety of colors, contrast and light.

Great UHH capture on 15... you got the bench!🤓👍
Is it just me; or am I the only one that sees that formation in 11 and 20 as reminiscent of the sand stone carvings of Petra?

Thanks, I agree that many of the geologic formations resemble carvings and statues.
