These are really beautiful.
Fun set, I used to have a ‘39 Buick, paid $50.00 for it. Wish I had it today.

Do you have a full shot of the copper colored convertible, John ?
Ava's Papa, I don't have a true full shot of the convertible, but I have a few others. I believe this car is a Cadillac. In my opinion, this was the prettiest car there. One of the best things about these car shows is that you can stop and talk to the owners. They love to tell you about their cars. Everyone was so nice.

Wow, the paint *alone* is fantastic! When I was a kid, out here in SoCal, there was a thriving car culture and you could find places where these creations would "cruise" (as in, drive slowly thru the drive-in lot). I was a "racer" and had the prerequisite sled, but loved to go to Harveys Broiler in, I think, South Gate on Firestone Blvd. We'd get a burger, sit in our cars, and ogle these things, nursing our cherry cokes like barflys. One time, this in maybe 1966, this big caddy came through and the paint was absolutely spectacular...a candy apple metal-flake that just blazed. The guy I was with at the time was an expert locally and casually said "...yeah, that's a $20,000 paint job." Man. That's 1966 dollars folks, think what it took to get *this* custom done! Great coverage, sir!!!

Thanks John. Looks like a '49, but that's a pretty radical customization...hard to tell for sure. Purty.
It's gorgeous.
Dandy shots! I'm sure glad there are people to keep the memories of these alive...
Some awesome sheet metal and paint work among that lot. Great photos, thanks for sharing.
