Bigmike1 Loc: I am from Gaffney, S.C. but live in Utah.

Speaking of the influx of people into Utah.... Here in Utah Valley we already have more cars on the road than Carter's got little pills. Several years ago they predicted a million new residents in this valley in 10 years. I think most of them are already here.

You mis-read me. I'm a very funny guy, but I'm also realistic. I'm not depressed or gloomy. I see humor in almost everything. However, when you look at the history of human beings on earth, all we have done is destroy each other and destroy our home planet. Greed and selfishness are at the root of most of our problems. The word "pollution" shouldn't exist. Neither should "war," "poverty," "torture," etc.

I beg to differ with you. That is NOT "all" we have done.

True. We have tried to correct the damage done by others.

I think a bit more than that. For example, at one time average human life expectancy was less than 30. I have lived and worked in places where, in the 70s, average life expectancy in the cities was 49 and 42 outside of the cities. That is only one of an infinite number of improvements.

Yes, there are many bad things that have been done and continue to be done, but I guarantee that for every bad thing that the human race has done to itself, I can name at least one good thing.
