I just received a new (refurbished) Nikkor P 70-300 f4.5-5.6E FX lens. After many years of putting off replacing a Tamron of the same range, that I broke when it fell forward while on a tripod (that's a different story!), I couldn't resist the opportunity that Nikon's sale of refurbished equipment.
I am very impressed with this lens. It has near silent auto focus, the images are as sharp as any I have taken. As my wife said "Happy birthday, happy father's day, merry christmas and happy anniversary"!
Camera is a Nikon D7100 that was just returned from a thorough cleaning and maintenance from Nikon. They did a fantastic job - it feels like new!

Congratulations! Nothing happier than a photographer with a "new" toy, and your results show it! AND........ it's lots cheaper than a NEW car!
Congrats. And nice shots!
This shot has so much potential to be a really cool shot, right now its pretty much out of focus over all, maybe set your point of focus in the the middle of the pigeons, or close down to around f-16 and pull back a bit from the first pigeon, now that's just for me, you may have wanted to shot it this way, its OK, I ;m just say en.
