Just a couple of our orchids that are thriving outdoors in our backyard jungle on this date in February.
Beautiful. "Orchids" and "orchards" are too close in spelling and pronunciation and almost close in meaning. Like "wondering" and "wandering" or "compliment" and "complement." We need better words. 😊

Doug, my wife and I are not Orchid experts so i am unable to answer your question. If you copy the portion of my photo showing what you believe is an oncidium and paste it into a Google search you should be able to get an answer to your question.
Where I live, orchids like that are considered indoor plants

Lovely shots of lovely flowers, Streetrodder! We also love orchids, unfortunately for us they are inside the house in the kitchen, but luckily we can see them day-in and day-out - interestingly we have pretty much the same 3 colors going at the moment in our kitchen! Lovely!
Here in Florida orchids love the heat and humidity, but must have some shade or they get "sunburned".
