Thank you, Jim! Yeah, really surprised by her! She sat there waiting for us to finish about a dozen photos. As we drove away, the car behind us stopped for photos but she took off like a rocket. I doubt they got anything but possibly south end of a north bound bird. And we were in a loud, bright red diesel truck!
Great pictures with really nice detail! I've been shooting birds lately at a distance of about 25 feet with a 400mm to 500mm focal length at f/5.6. My depth of field is really shallow. You've managed to get really great depth in these shots. Can you tell me the subject distance (for the Kingfisher), the focal length and the aperture? Thanks.
