Good to be back yβall. Very nice to see all your post youβve shared. Iβll look for you on Joeβs next challenge.πππ
I'm a little late again, it's been a tough week.
Decided to try a little macro. D500, reversed 24mm lens mounted on a Nikon Pb6 bellows (not sure of the amount of extension, or the magnification ratio) lit with two "Litra Torch" lights with soft boxes, two second exposure, f11, iso 400.
I set this up to get the lettuce seed to fill the frame, the next two pictures are of the set-up, and the last is the same lettuce seed on a dime at 1:1 magnification to give you an idea of the actual size.
That's a pretty seedy dime, if you ask me!
We're having a very mixed summer in New Zealand this summer. Down in the South Island it's hot and dry, and up in the north there have been some massive record-breaking floods in Auckland and other regions.
Where I live though, in Palmerston North - which is two hours' drive north of Wellington - it's not been too bad. We've had some very hot days as well as loads of wet days (it's been good for the lawns and gardens), but no major or extreme weather events like in much of the country elsewhere.
The other day our neighbour, 'Spot', was out walking his dogs in light rain. I saw him walk past my house, so I shot outside with my camera and took this photo. He doesn't know I took it, yet.
Spot is a policeman, and his real name is not Spot, but everyone calls him Spot, so we often refer to him as 'Spot the Cop'.
If you look closely enough you can see some of the light rain drops in the photo.
The black dog's name is Bessie, or "Bess". I forget the other dog's name.

Just back from a month long adventure in Southern Africa! This one is from the Karongwe Private Reserve, South Africa
Very good indeed, Manny.
Someone I know is holding a
'Safari' evening in real estate company offices soon and I have been invited to go. I think they want to sell trips though, and I can't afford to go on any big oversea's trips.

Such a fine, homey feel to this shot, and I can almost smell the wet grass (or dogs) π€π€π€π€π€
