There are AC chargers with USB-C ports. I have 3 of them.
The not-so-funny thing is that my new iPhone (still with the little lightning port thats been around for a while) really does not want to charge on anything but a USB-C charger. The many USB-As that we have and that definitely work will not do it.

This seems like such a simple thing, but we are faced with a sea of chargers and cables that are not compatible with each other. Imagine buying a TV, toaster, or radio and then having to install the particular kind of wall outlet required.

I know. Some people downrate a product for ridiculous reasons. I've seen some rave reviews that gave just one star. That's because the writer didn't know how the star system worked. The moderator should have caught that.

It is the future of USB cables. Now, you can not only l plug it in either way up but you can use either end of the cable.

Everything is going USB-C. The EU recently required Apple to go USB-C on new phones sold in Europe. It's much nicer than USB-A in that it doesn't have to be inserted a particular way.

Get used to it. All my chargers now have USB-C on the ends. I do have a supply of various length cables with USB-C on one end and USB3 on the other.

I don't think I'm going to use this charger when it arrives. My old devices don't want to be charged that fast, and I'm in no hurry. I'll use it in the future when I get a device that accepts fast charging.

And your old devices won't charge that fast either. There is no such thing as a fast charger. There are chargers that will allow a higher charge rate IF the device will accept it. No charger is designed to FORCE itself upon a device that will only accept a slower charge. You can use it with impunity. You are working from a false premise.
