Looks like another great fixer-upper to me.

I'm sure it was a nice house in it's time. It may look great again, but at a substantial cost. Thanks for your comment, Tim.

But they sure do make for outstanding photography subjects!!! Excellent photograph!

I remember seeing a similar(?) home somewhere between Winnipeg, Regina, Edmonton, and Alaska, while driving during January, 2017 to Anchorage, and wished we could have stopped to photograph it... It is a mighty fine piece of architecture! I would love to do that trip again...

Thank you for your comment, Doug. There are numerous abandoned houses, barns, churches gas stations, and old elevators scattered across the prairies. Sadly, we lose a good number of each every year. A few old ghost towns in Saskatchewan as well. Another trip may be worth your while.

nice shot...try processing to B&W

Thanks for the comment and suggestion, dreff. I will do a conversion, though my preference is just about always colour.

Great shot, Cotondog! Makes me homesick. The prairies have a wealth of old buildings, rail lines and elevators that are just begging to be photographed. Unfortunately, you don't find many of those around here.

Thank you very much, GreyOwl. You have a lot of great history in Quebec, and I absolutely love Old Quebec city. Our history on the prairies is just a bit different, and not as old; but still interesting.

Great pic and lots of great colors. The only thing that bothers me is the angle of the walls on both sides of the house. Is the house leaning towards the right or is the camera not on horizontal. A bubble on the hotshoe or tripod helps or a grid in the viewfinder if available helps prevent this. Being an old decrepit house, I'll assume it's leaning.

Thank you kbk. The house is leaning. It becomes much more noticeable when viewing the house from the back where the two sections of the house have a greater separation.

Very nice. I like the windswept tussock in the foreground, it adds a further dimension to the image.
