Now that has seen better days. Great shot. I often wonder when these old buildings are posted why no one has attempted to salvage at least some of the lumber. I would have killed for some of that lumber when I still had my shop

Thank you for your thoughtful comment, Curmudgeon. I think it is sad that so many of these old homes are allowed to fall into disrepair, and continue to rot until they fall. And when they fall, a small remnant of history goes with it.
Although I do admit that the lumber is great to have. I have been given a fair amount by land-owners who have asked me to take photos of their ancestral home before it falls. I make photo frames and other small items with the wood.

And just think, at one time that was a family’s home, probably kids and livestock running about and a place people called home. Now it is just a wooden structure slowly rotting away.
