If you've never been to the D-Day Memorial in Bedford, VA, they've done a great job to memorialize the event in our nation's history.
The Bedford, VA community lost a great number of soldiers and (I think) was the reason for the building of this memorial.

And, a few more...
Notice the bullet hitting the water? They had water jets creating bullet fire, etc., throughout.

Yes, the invasion of Virginia in WWII was a terrible thing...
Seriously, those men had guts, and we should never-EVER- forget their courage and sacrifice. Thanks to all who gave up so much to defeat tyranny.
