Has anyone used this lens? I'm 80 years old and my newest camera is the Nikon z50...trying to keep everything lightweight. I have both kit lenses which comes with this camera, but I really prefer an all-in-one lens. I take photos of family and travel. This looks like a good buy on Nikon's refurbished sale. It was $899.95 and is now $599.95.... but I don't know anything about it. I would appreciate any advice.

The 24-200 Z lens is great. I don't hesitate to mount it.

Thank you all again for all your information. I am an amateur and it was very confusing trying to understand the difference of the Z24-200mm lens on the Z50 and on the Z6, Z7 and Z9. I just assumed all Z lenses would work the same on all the Nikon Z cameras including the Z50. Tony Northrup said there were really only 2 lenses for the Nikon Z50 and I already have them. After evaluating everything, I have decided to pass on the Z24-200mm lens. It's equivalence of 36-300mm just isn't enough difference from the Z50-250mm lens which I already have.
Thanks again, Lauretta

The 50-250 is made for the 50Z as well as the 16-50. I love them.

It is mostly glued to my Z72. That is a great buy and I have been completely satisfied with Nikon refurbs.

Excellent lens but it is FX and thus large and heavy for Z50. I never use it on my Z50. You might consider the DX 18-120 or 140.

The worst lens I own. Just not sharp. I much prefer using my 24-70 f2.8. Heavy lens, but super sharp.

Methinks you are dealing with the problem behind the viewfinder. All testers and users love the 24-200.

I suppose you might have a defective one. Send it to Nikon to see.

I also own and use this lens. It is not Nikon's best lens, but it sure is useful, versatile and light. I bought a used copy at a similar price. Well suited to a smaller Z camera. Best of luck.
