You can EASILY make a separate account with them as I did. It is easy and the prices are the same.
Stop slamming this fine company and put on your big boy pants and create a new account with them as I did.

Did you make sure you were using the login for your Costco account and not your Costco Photo Center account?

Just out of curiosity, I checked the Costco Photo's web page, only to find that its already been shut down. That didn't take long.

I've decided to NOT pursue the Shutterfly/Costco deal as Shutterfly can't meet the lower cost for the Photo Books anyway, my Costco photos did not transfer. Still looking for another source though.

Would Walmart be another option? I'm wondering if their processing is just as good as Costco/Shutterfly.

Please define "Slamming".
In you snarky response you didn't mention the discount I won't be getting. Are you sure you aren't family?
Shutterfly had enough information to open my account, transfer over my photos but then said my account number is not valid so they can't give me the discount. When I contacted them all they would tell me is I have to contact Cosco
No help -0- nada.
To you is there a difference in stating the facts and slamming? A little speech control maybe?

It's very odd that they were able to transfer your photos over but they claim they you do not have a valid Costco account number. My guess (and this is only a guess) that their system may need to refresh with the Costco database of account numbers, and this may not happen instantaneously. I did not have any issues with my transfer (although I don't have a bunch of photos on the Costco Photo site) and I am seeing the discount on the Shutterfly page.

Also, on Shutterfly's "Helpful Tips" section about the partnership, they do urge people to contact Costco with any account issues. I doubt a Customer Service representative at Shutterfly would have access to individual Costco account numbers from their workstation for confidentiality reasons.

Here is the info from the Shutterfly website. They also say the transfer should occur on a laptop or desktop computer (not a phone).

"Members should contact Costco for any membership or renewal questions. https://www.costco.com/join-costco.html.
Please complete the migration on a laptop or desktop."

As I said, account moved over, images moved over but I don't get the discount because my account number is not valid.
We deal with problems every day, thats life, we are all use to it. What I don't like is they offer no help what so ever.

Maybe I was the only account that there was trouble with, I don't know. I still felt I should share my story, others might find it useful, and in the future I plan to do business we people who want to be helpful.

May I ask what you searched for on the Amazon site... or a link? I had a canvas print done via a company on Amazon and was a bit disappointed that it was not as sharp as I had hoped it would be. However, that may have been because it was taken from facebook.

It was kind of weird but I couldn't find my way to the photography section via the normal store / purchase page. I had to do a web search and found it through a Duck search. (like goggle but they don't record) Once I found it I made a second Amazon bookmark for the next time.
I haven't received my photos yet so I can't comment on quality.

Try going to Amazon's main page and then clicking on the menu icon near the top left of the page (with the word "All"). Scroll down under "Digital Contents & Devices" and click on "Amazon Photos". Click on "Amazon Photos" under "Amazon Photos" (makes more sense once you see it).

There may be a better method, but this got me there as a Prime member who has not used the service.

We use to say at work " why make it easy if you don't have to"

I'm sure you are not alone with experiencing issues. These things happen. As others have noted, Amazon Photos might be a good option. From my limited experience with them, they are reasonably priced (a little more than Costco) but less expensive shipping than Shutterfly.
