Last town I lived in I knew 4 people who got past 100. One guy who got out of Europe in 1938. He had a goal of living to 100. He died at 100.1. There were two women who made it to 103. One of them stopped driving at 93 just after she ran over the police chief's foot. The other had a long standing practice of drinking a glass of scotch after dinner. One man made it to 105. He had been retired for 40 years.
Momma always told me that, "Old age is not for sissies!' This must be one tough, feisty lady! God bless her and grant her health and happiness.
Beautiful birthday portrait, Sam. Very nicely done.
That would have been a wonderful experience for you Sam. My Mother-in-law in 99 and still drives a car and lives independently.
Isn't that simply amazing?
