kpmac,

Thank God you are alive and doing reasonably well. PTSD occurs less often with natural disasters such as this one than from man made disasters/situations. I speak from experience, I am a forensic neuropsychologist by profession. Please do not fear going to counseling should you or your family members need it, and I hope you NEVER need it.

Take good care of yourself and I wish you and yours well.

Arca

Thanks, Arca. We are ok. Some of our neighbors may not be, though.

Nice photos Ken, recording what these tornados can do. Glad all you had was maybe some spoiled food.

I was truly lucky. By about 1/8 of a mile. Thanks, Frank.

I have been offline for a few days because a tornado (f2) tore through my neighborhood. I got lucky as the main winds were a little north of me. I have a few large limbs down and the power was off for three days. These images are just a sampling of what we have here. I took these as I was leaving to stay at my mother's home until the power came back on. I will post more as I take them. 1/8 of a mile made a lot of difference for me and my wife. If it's not too windy I will try to get some drone shots.

Wow. Glad you made it through unscathed. It is amazing how much destruction tornadoes can cause. Interesting pics.

Yep. Nature can be beautiful or terrorizing. In this case, it was not beautiful.

So sorry for your troubles - glad you're safe, Ken.
I see flood warnings in your area - don't take any chances.
