I have the tendency to tilt the camera counter clockwise if not paying attention for some reason. I’m always correcting in LR. It’s a bad habit I can’t seem to overcome 😩

Same here. I've been doing it for years and have made very little progress. Thank goodness for corrective measures available in post. Jim in San Angelo, TX

Complaining about the horizon not being level when it is or when you can't really tell. It happens a lot in photos of lakes. Sometimes the horizon is too uneven to tell and a slightly oblique lakeshore should not appear to be level. Invariably someone will say it needs leveling.

Don't most folks use PP? I don't pay CLOSE attention when I'm getting the shot...I try but I'm off sometimes. It's so easy to straighten it in PP.

I think levelness is a male obsession. I've noticed in the garden and yard I will obsessively correct a pot or a table that is not level or plumb but it does not bother my wife at all.

You might be onto something there. My extension leads are all rolled up neatly - but Mrs. N. (who has the ability to turn a ball of string into a jumper) just cannot roll 10m of Arctic 13A cable without twisting or knotting it.

I seem to tilt the camera counterclockwise, even after I check the level. Thank God for post processing.

I also notice that I often capture the tilting of the earth as it empties the ocean from one side to the other. It really helps that I can correct that pesky ocean or other "curvature" of the horizon with my computer cropper.

Hate to tell you this, but you aren’t responsible for keeping the oceans from emptying into space. It’s the Dutch. That’s what all those dikes do, keep the Atlantic from sloshing over the edge of Europe like a bowl of runny soup.

Over saturated photos, blurry photos and rude snarky comments by some people here.

I prefer photos to look natural and realistic, though composites are okay if they are noted as such. Auto-focus should alleviate all but the slightest blurs, camera movement that is intentional is acceptable, as is long exposures for dramatic or artistic effect.

As for snarky or rude comments, they might be okay, now and then if noted to be meant as humor. There are some that folks make that seem to be made for the purpose of being rude or derogatory. Those are unacceptable to me.

Lastly I do wish that the spelling and grammar here was better. I myself make mistakes when typing (never had proper training in the process) but I try to proof read my posts before sending. Sometimes I forget and typos do make it through, for those I apologize.

Photos and videos, yes! I want to scream at these people and smack the phones from their hands!

Our eyes… our TV and movie theater screens…we see the world in “landscape” orientation! Our eyes are not “above and below”.

I tend to be not such a great "photographer" I TRY to always do the best I can in the time allotted, but seldom meet my expectations.

Thank God for PP, which I thoroughly enjoy.

First thing in Post is to notice what needs improved in your photo. I can edit a crooked photo and not even notice. I've gotten a lot better at it since joining the HOG, but no cigars yet.

When I look at YOUR photo, I notice immediately. It's a conundrum.

Poor spelling and or grammar. Mine is far from perfect but changing the “breaks” on a car is a prime example. Or hearing the wife wine about not having any whine. And writing like people text. 2 instead of to-too. My biggest gripe in the auto spell on phones like mine. I type in Tamron and it changes it to tampon. In fact I had to respell changes because it changed it to “changers.” And just then it changed fact to facts. I think my phone is out to get me.

You CAN turn off spell check and auto complete & other such features on your phone, or computer!!
