The Ancient Egyptians were obsessed with their gods. They had 42 of them, and often their duties overlapped each other. They knew life on earth was short so they became obsessed over their after life.

The Temple of Isis was relocated to a small island in the Nile River to escape the rising water from the Aswan Dam. It is not as heavily carved or painted as some, but is unique in its own way. Isis was always depicted as a beautiful, tall, slender woman in a sheath dress with an abundance of curves, and usually with a head dress of bull horns with a moon disc. She was the goddess of protection, beauty, healing, magic, and the moon.

They are amazing photographs; truly amazing.

The description of them has some bearing on today. For millions in North America, and elsewhere across the globe, believe in gods, and they construct churches and other edifices in their worship of them. Life is still short relatively speaking and death is final. No wonder many want to believe in an afterlife. Me? I’m 78 and when I die that is it!

Fade to Black!
But my sister, who is an ER nurse has told me she has seen things that have made her believe that there is more to dying than a fade to black. She is very level headed and good in emergencies so I can't just dismiss what she has to say!!

Your reply raises so many questions, that’s for sure. Very unsure where to take the topic? Maybe to the email address for you and your sister? Or to a separate topic on UHH? What do you think?
