Topaz DeNoise AI Problem

I use Topaz DeNoise AI version 3.5.0. I've been using it since 2021 with no issues and great results until recently. Now the Standard Model in DeNoise produces a very blurry image. All the other models (Clear, Severe Noise, etc.) seem to work fine, but Standard does not. I've read online that other users have had the same issue, even with the latest version 3.7.0., but no one seems to have solved the problem. Have any of you experienced this and, if so, did you find a fix?
Thanks

When you contacted Topaz Labs, how / what did they respond?

I'm planning a chat session with Topaz this afternoon. I'll let everyone know if they were of help.

That would be great if you could tell us what they say.

I have Topaz DeNoise AI version v3.7.0 and I used it yesterday w/o any issues.
It would be helpful if you posted a before/after example.
However, CHG_CANON has the best recommendation so far.
Best Wishes,

As stated above, however sometimes when a program goes astray I uninstall it and then reinstall, check for updates and most of the time the program works as it should. Also as I am sure you know, Topaz is no longer updating Denoise and Sharpen, all future updates are for Topaz Photo AI. This is where Topaz is going, all in one application. I hope your problem gets solved without much trouble. Good luck, Joe W.

I have version 3.7.0 and just used it with no problem. I'm running it in W10. I have Sharpen and Gigapixel as well and use them weekly. Just received a notice from Topaz that an upgrade is available for Gigapixel. They indicate that they will continue to support each program individually.

Uninstall and reinstall is the simple starting approach to many problems. Old saying ... reboot clears the mind and computer.

Have mercy on Topaz... the tech is not setting at your desk and you must be self sufficient. Topaz programs are functional before release and are continually improved... rarely with bugs... I had to upgrade my memory to accommodate AI Programs. Two years before that, I bought parts and built a new computer replacing my 2014 computer... AI is computational equipment demanding but replaces the need of newer cameras; that 2001 3 mp camera files my surprise you! If we have problems with AI is is generally at our computer. Forget minimal requirements... recommended level is actually minimal that function... and optimal is the minimal way to go for good fast results.

Remember, just because you installed memory does not mean it is functioning. Also default BIOS settings are often at slow speeds.

Photographers in general spend big money on cameras, lenses, and programs but often no upgrades on computers. Desk top computers have the virtue of opening the hood and adding something to improve... OR... strip out the old MOBO and upgrade to modern fast computing. AI programs demand memory and speed and yep, a graphics card.

Thanks dpullum,
I would normally uninstall and reinstall, but the installation file I have is for version 3.1.2.0 (2021), and the software has since updated to 3.5.0., which I am running. My license does not permit me to update to 3.7.0., so I'd have to purchase the latest version outright or purchase Photo AI if that's all that Topaz is now offering. Topaz Help has not yet gotten back to me. Expect to hear from them today. I'll keep UHH updated on what they say. Still want to know if any other UHH members have experienced this issue.

Hi all,
Topaz just got back to me and said that version 3.7.0. should fix the problem. They gave my account permission to download the latest version for free. The update did the trick! All models in DeNoise AI 3.7.0. are working properly. Great service from Topaz!
