Thank you! Li Ion batteries discharge whether they are in camera or not. My Canon cameras have more than a few batteries sitting in chargers. When I go shooting, I take a fresh battery and a spare. Between my 3 main digital cameras, I have about 12 batteries of different manufacturers and the only battery I seem to have an issue with is a Canon battery. It's recommended that you charge those with a Canon branded charger for best results. I try to do that and I've been ok but use the other batteries more frequently. YMMV

According to your graph the self discharge rate is quite low. I believe the OP battery is bad because he said it loses charge quickly even not in the camera.

Which is an easy fix. If it only loses charge when the OP left it in the camera they it could be a much more serious problem. Some cameras develop problem that it draws significant current even when it's off. One of the reason is that the internal battery for the clock went bad and it keeps getting charged from the main battery but never gets full.

Oh, good point. I just got the a6000 & do see some loss in battery power when I'm not using it. W/check to see if "airplane" mode is on or off. Thanks. I also have the a65 & love it. Team Sony all the way.

My Sony digital camera always runs the battery down due to the day and date function in the internal memory of the camera, buy my a99ii does not drain the batteries that fast. Repetitive the a99ii is not a digital camera like my RX10M4 or yor a6000 camera is. Maybe thi is a characteristic of all digital cameras that the SLR's do not have. I hope other people with other digital cameras can comment on how their cameras drain the battery when in storage.

So the Wasabi batteries share this pattern with the Sony battery? Do you recall if this pattern was the same when the batteries were new? Makes me wonder if the Sony batteries are actually made by whoever manufactures the Wasabi batteries

I don't know but I know Wasabi never made batteries themselves but Sony made batteries before. I just don't know if they make the ones they sell for the A6000.

I have the 6000, and the only battery drain that I can see is when I forget to turn it off. I do see some battery drain, more than a DSLR, but really over a long time.

I’m not sure, since it’s only been a few days since the discussion ended.
I’m about to leave on a trip to the Amazon and have fully charged four batteries then put them in separate plastic baggies. I’ll check them when I get to Brazil. If I find anything surprising, I’ll post the details.
