Actually, It's the Saugatuck Congregational Church in Westport.

White just happens to be one of my favorite colors (non-colors) to photograph. Trick is to open up a stop or two over what the meter shows in order to render white white.

Here are some of my favorites, in no particular order

very excellent shots Rick, and you nailed them, and it when you said to overexpose some when shooting white, or in bright light or bright reflected light. It seems counterintuitive to many to overexpose in those situations, but once they understand what the internal meter is doing it becomes clear. And, the opposite is true if you want black to look black where you need to underexpose the shot.

Neat shot. Sort of like “white on rice”.

I'm thinking this challenge will focus on photos where the main subject or predominant attribute of the photo is white. I'm going to leave it open to all of you to come up with pictures that are examples of this. You all have so much imagination and do so many wonderful to your pictures, I know that you will be able to submit some wonderful posts.

I haven't really looked through many of my files, but I imagine I may be a little heavy in the flower department. Here are a few of mine.

I looked through my flora pics because I didn't know how to search 80,000 pictures for white. I had less than a 1000 flowers so looking for decent white ones was not too hard. I included a pic of my best friends new dog, because he's white and I love the picture. The rest are mine though.

Such elegance of design - the industry seems to be losing that sense of art.

It seems to be a very common architectural design of the period in this area.
