California, NYC and Massachusetts would promptly outlaw owning dogs.

That's a great idea. Wonder how it would go over in places like NY, CA, and IL. I think it would only be okay if the dog was owned by a criminal.

California would just classify the dog as a holster and slam the human anyway.

Technically California would be correct. The dog cannot comprehend what a firearm is and therefore is not able to decide when or where to use one. Additionally, without extensive modifications a dog cannot actually fire a gun because of physical limitations. In the illustration, the dog clearly is being used by a person to carry a weapon and therefore is acting as a detached holster. I am not advocating any position regarding firearms in this response. I'm just saying California could classify the dog as a holster and hold the human responsible for any issues that might arise regarding the gun.

It is too bad that there is not a federal or national CCW permit/license. A more uniform set of requirements to obtain a license would be an improvement.

Here in WA state you just go into the sheriff's office, get fingerprints, photo pay$35 and walk out, good for 5 years!

Someone had the bright idea of combining a telephone and a camera. What would be really cool would be if they could incorporate a gun into the camera phone. That way you could snap a photo of the guy, shoot him and call 911 at the same time.

So you could REALLY be like the coffee mug somebody posted the other day with a camera on it, and text that read - I Shoot People / And Sometimes I Cut Off Their Head.
