Nice shot of Ralph, p.18.

Animals are one of my favorite photo subjects, lets share our encounters with them.

Been going through a lot of old photos preparing for Dad's funeral. We had taken a Big Boat cruise whit Dad and Mary to the Panama Canal some years back where we did get to see some critters not locally seen in these here parts. But the most curious ones were on our bed when we returned from what ever entertainment we soaked up that evening. Towel critters are stange and must come from somewhere else....... at least we had never seen them before!

The boat must have been over-run with them because there was a different one each of the 6 nights we were aboard.

I was in Indiana taking my mom to a farm to get some fresh produce when I found this interesting, dapper gentleman, obviously named Billy.

Interessting red beaked ...what ever! Never saw one of those!

Judy,

I believe that is called a "coot." But I don't know if that's vernacular and it may have a more formal name.

In my backyard, I feed 3 rabbits, an Eastern chipmunk, a doe and a couple of fawns, lots of birds and a half dozen or so squirrels. Jane Doe and her fawn showed up about a year ago and showed up regularly until just recently. After a few months she appeared with 2 fawns. If a doe with and fawn dies, one of the others does with a fawn 'adopts' the motherless fawn. One deer eats (sticks it tongue into) from my birdfeeder occasionally. The little red-headed bird pivots 90ΒΊ to peck at the Blue Jays' peanuts. It is very humorous.

Thursday, time to offer a few more of the "critters."

Awesome shots, but I love your post of the amorous orang-utans from your private archives πŸ‘€πŸ‘€πŸ‘€πŸ‘€πŸ‘€

I watch critter encounters daily between our cat and birds at our window feeder. Case in point our cat and a Tree sparrow! The Tree Sparrow shows two identifying marks in the last photo: first identifying photo, a central breast spot and second identifying mark, the bottom yellow portion of its bicolour bill. The cat loves watching the birds up close and bats the window with its paw causing the bird top fly away, to return again!

Do you think the cat is amused Or harboring murderous thoughts Lovely shots ✨✨✨✨

Thanks, Joe. That is an old B&W that I took years ago, at the Colorado Springs Zoo.
