Sorry, but I had to wonder which "camera car" you might have,
and if you meant "car camera" of some sort . . . .

Does your camera format other cards?

At first, I was thrown off that you were asking about a car.

Have you tried using the unnamed card in the unnamed camera without formatting? Does it store photos? I just pop my cards in the slot and shoot.
You could also format the card through the computer too.

If I fill a card I download the photos to my computer. I don’t format the card and reuse it. I just buy extra cards when ever they are on sale.

Just format the card on your computer. That’s what the card makers suggest

If it's a CF card, look in the card slot for any bent pins.

The CF Card pins love to bow down and remain bent. That is why I don’t Spend more than $10 on a card reader.

What if it's a different camera for this post???
We should go look at his other posts to maybe see to what camera he might be referring?

That's how I found out which camera he was having a problem with.

You might have checked, instead of commenting first?????

I am inclined to believe it is a simple fix. More than anything else may need to have the camera and card brought in for repair. Repairing a memory card is not very economical.

Don’t you think it would be wise (and helpful) for someone asking for assistance to provide pertinent information along with the request?
