Simple as ABC, check Wikipedia: the Bronze Age introduced copper (3000-2200 BCE), then Bronze (ca. 2200-1200 BCE). The Iron Age (ca. 1200 BCE-present) carbon steel at first (already in use ca. 1400 BCE), then progressively harder alloys.

OK now take your generalized statement and apply it to implementation in ancient Egypt.

This post is only about one of the many temples scattered throughout Egypt in varying degrees of damage from their original ancient grandeur. Nearly all the giant columns are carved, or painted, or both in a time when they had no metal tools. Carvings were done using stone on stone.

This post is about one of the two most beautiful temples IMHO. This is the "Temple of Khnum" in Esna, Egypt. Most of the tops of the giant columns are different from each other and heavily carved and painted. The ceiling and walls are covered with artwork as well.

Please enjoy the downloads to appreciate the beauty.

I believe that metal tools were available and used but regardless, your pictures and the actual temples are wonderful. I am a fan of most things Egyptian.

Very nice.

The drama of the Egyptians is enter into HISTORY with their artistic hands.
The architecture is amazing [art] in itself.
The story of the lives of the people of that time, were accomplished, mainly,
by slave laborers that had talent to render the daily life of the Egyptians'
forever in stone.

Nice shots. The first photos I have seen with great shadows that really shoe the 3D of the carvings

Gorgeous color, detail, and textures everywhere ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - and I am impressed especially by that ancient Egyptian scaffolding 🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯

Actually, that scaffolding was set up by aliens who brought it all the way from Alpha Centauri.
