How many of you got a new-to-you camera between November 1 and December 31, 2022?

I got a set of three outdoor surveillance cameras and an Insta360 X3 (for my son).

I switched over from my DSLR to a mirrorless in that time: two bodies, three lenses. Nikon, of course!
Happy New Year!

Camera #1: I put in a SimpliSafe alarm system with a "free" indoor camera. Motivation came from a gradually increasing crime rate in the Seattle area, a 60 day guarantee and a 60% off one day sale that included the "free" camera. A very complete system cost me $175 including sales tax.

Camera #2: The second camera was a shocking surprise. I didn't know I wanted one! My DW of 54 years thought I needed a Sony RX100M7 under the tree! Turns out she was right. I loved my original RX100 but abandon it when I moved from HD video to 4K. The M7 eliminates the 30 minute recording time restriction and will run with USB power so the only limit is the SD card size. Sony also amped up the focusing system to a level I've never had with any previous camera. There is a mic jack too! Also new to me is video "log" shooting capability that will be fun to learn.

Nope, not me. My 850 is like an old friend that I won't abandon

Z9. For some odd reason, that was the only present I got from my wife :-).

My wife got me a new camera for Christmas.
I wondered where some money in our account went.
Of course she had to balance it with some presents for herself.
I am not allowed to buy things as I do not use coupons or sales.

Pentax SFXn and Pentax K1000 plus several lenses. Bought them mainly for some specific lenses. The rest will be restored and sold again...(My wife now knows how to monitor our bank account on her phone)
