Hi Everyone .
I have the above camera and am thinking og buying a Godox TT350o as its said to be compatable to my camera.
But the tiny flash that came with the camera has a connection on the side of the hotshoe ( see photo ) ... the godox does not have this only the hot shoe connections ... my hot shoe does have multiple connections .

So what exactly are those side connection ? what manor of lunacy did Olympus use to design this ?
Will the Godox work ?

Thanks

Maybe consult the instructions for that flash for the purpose of those connections.

That is the auxiliary port, which is used to provide power from the camera battery to the flash. The port is also used to connect to an auxiliary (tiltable) EVF. The auxiliary port was discontinued with the E-M1 mk II.

The Godox flash (and any other flash) has internal batteries for power, and does not need the auxiliary port.

I have one of those Godox TT350o that I use with my Olympus bodies. It works very nicely.

I have the TT350o. they work fine on my 2 Olympus cameras. There is a similar FL-LM3 flash. The LM3 has a normal hot shoe connection except that it has 1 more pin. The extra pin supplies power to the flash. If an flash cord is used then it must have the extra pin as well. I have 2 LM3s they are sometimes handy in closeup work and as a fill flash.

I have a Godox V1 for Olympus and it works great on my EM1s. It has a rechargeable battery and a quick connector to the hot shoe.
