Hi Everyone .
I have the above camera and am thinking og buying a Godox TT350o as its said to be compatable to my camera.
But the tiny flash that came with the camera has a connection on the side of the hotshoe ( see photo ) ... the godox does not have this only the hot shoe connections ... my hot shoe does have multiple connections .
So what exactly are those side connection ? what manor of lunacy did Olympus use to design this ?
Will the Godox work ?
Thanks
That is the auxiliary port, which is used to provide power from the camera battery to the flash. The port is also used to connect to an auxiliary (tiltable) EVF. The auxiliary port was discontinued with the E-M1 mk II.
The Godox flash (and any other flash) has internal batteries for power, and does not need the auxiliary port.
