Yesterday morning, the oil burner cut out, the generator wouldn't start, and in the middle of a printing job, the printer demanded more ink for its tanks. I spent most of the day on the oil burner and the generator, and now both are working. The printer is full of ink, and we still have electricity. It's unusual when so many things go wrong at the same time.

Adding ink to the printer might not seem like a big deal, but with the oil burner and generator on my mind, it was just one more thing. I had to remove the stuff from the top of the printer, open a couple of doors, find the ink, and then deal with the directions and buttons on the control panel. For some odd reason, the top on this Epson ET-2760 doesn't stay open. I had to use the lid to the ink tanks to hold it open.

Modern world problems. Still much better than the alternative from ancient times in order to keep warm, illuminated, and grinding beets, carrots, and black turnips to get the colorants for the images.

In my case, "talented" means trying everything I can think of and hoping something works. If only I had tried the last thing first.

Just like when I lose something. I always find it in the last place I look.

It’s the last place you look because you quit looking once you find it. I have that printer and it seems like there is something you flip over and that makes a wedge to keep the top open

Except where money is involved. If I find money in an area, I'll keep looking.

Oh, that's where Murphy went. Still uses my house as his base, but he left a while back. He assured me he would return.

Strange how that works. I didn't understand the old saying until many years into adulthood!
