I have a number of photographs of a Reddish Egret from the Goleta Slough, about 10 miles North of Santa Barbara. He really is a rare bird because officially he lives elsewhere. But there he is. They are beautiful birds especially when dancing around stirring up the water looking for food.

Thank you, Dennis. Yeah, they are beautiful. They put on quite a show when they are fishing. And sometimes, I think they are just having fun. We watched one here in Florida putting on his show for about twenty minutes without ever catching a fish. And all alone, so it wasn't a mating display. I think he was enjoying a beautiful, but HOT day!
