Not at all I was merely making an observation about my particular geographic area I said nor asked anything about comparing models but I guess that many hoggers lack basic reading comprehension since everything has to be a comparison request it seems

Possibly a little bit true. I personally have multiple issues and complaints with all of Nikon's consumer DSLRs that go way beyond the memory slot. But I have found that the 21MP of the D500 is just about perfect for a lot of things. By the way...in no way is the D7500 the same system as the D500...it is a completely different animal to shoot. Nikon's consumer models do not provide a smooth transition to their cameras with the "professional" user interface.
The D7500 being "a cheaper version of the same system" is an expressive exagerration on my part to push a point.
The D500 & D7500 do parallel each other, sharing quite a bit of the important parts while keeping the other one a lesser capable camera. Although I dont remember the D500 being marketed as a pro camera, it does share contol ergonomics with the higher models so perhaps the parallel also extend to one for the pros and one for the consumers. Hence the button to press.

That’s an interesting take, considering how popular the D500 is. And the D7500 was not a “cheaper version of the same system.
Indeed it was and should be. The D500 is a great camera and could have reached more success if Nikon did not advertise it to fill a niche and released it with the D7500. The D7500 being "a cheaper version of the same system" was an exagerration on my part that the two models parallel one another in many ways.
Canon is the best seller. Sony makes the best. But I use Nikon because I have one.
It makes no difference what camera you use, as long as you know how to use it.

I never said it makes any difference.

I must not fit in the model. I shoot with both Nikon and Canon, and Canon, to me, is slightly better. Nikon is better by far.
I’m having trouble wrapping my head around that.

I can see why..... The last sentence... Even confuses me....a couple of works for left out. My Canon is better picture quality, but the Nikon is better over all for it's other capabilities. My Canon is older than the Nikon.
Sometimes, most on the time, speach didn't work to well on these phone, and coupled with what it thinks you are trying to say.
Merry Christmas and happy new year.

Your Honor, I think the jury is hopelessly deadlocked and I move the you declare a mistrial.
Canon or Nikon, is like Ford or Chevrolet, they both are excellent does not matter what others choose. Pick the one that you feel comfortable with. Learn now to use it and post process. Results from either will be excellent depending on your skills as a photographer.

I ended up went with Nikon mostly because of a job I had in college involving a copy stand and making precision slides of images in books for lectures. Getting the most from every frame was critical, and the F had 100% accuracy in the viewfinder with respect to the frame. For personal use I had Pentax. Later, my family snapshot go-to camera was a Minolta SRT100, $25 bucks from a yard sale, but solid in every way. Except for the copy stand work, it could easily have been Canon, Mamiya/Sekor, or any brand. It was not a dogmatic choice, more of a result of circumstances. As for cars, when I was a kid vets were more common than beetles, but I think it was a local thing.
