Yeah, the D500 was a real mistake, I could only make 40X60 sharp prints from it. What were they thinking.
Right!!! What WERE you thinking??? 😆
Whatever the make of camera I shoot with,....I can most likely shoot with the make camera anyone else shoots with and obtain equal results,...... > 0 > I = image..............> being light,... 0 being lens,...&....I being focal plane....just the basics with a bit of mechanics and electronics thrown in to satisfy the tecnically challenged,......lol
Wishing all here a wonderful holiday season.

I have noticed (around here at least) the trend of photographers is to favor Nikon cameras over Canon or other brands.
The irony is that they are not even using the top models but rather a basic cropped sensor model.
Is this an indication of better quality or just minimal budget.
Sorry, but this seems fitting at the moment

I shoot with Nikons because that's the brand I started with 45 years ago. I spent 3 weeks in AZ, CA & Ne & I saw only one person using a DSLR all the others were using their phones.
I have never shot any other DSLR except Nikon so I guess I prefer Nikon to any other brand. lol
It isn’t the engine, it's the engineer! Now mater what brand of camera you're using it's the results that count.

CHG_CANON should use this for his cover photo, much more appropriate. Personally, I never respond to him anymore, he is however knowledgeable, it's a shame he has that other personality that interferes with the knowledgeable one.

Use both cameras and you will understand why.
Ditto - I have maybe sixty lenses that I don’t want to make semi obsolete - I envy the software inside a Z90 and would buy the equivalent of it had the F mount

It seems like with 60 lenses there would be a lot of overlap. I would evaluate how many you actually use and which and determine if they would work with the adapter and if not if you had something similar that would. A lot of lenses will work fine. If they’re manual focus lenses they’ll actually work better with the manual focus tools on mirrorless.

I must not fit in the model. I shoot with both Nikon and Canon, and Canon, to me, is slightly better. Nikon is better by far.
Obviously since you are not around here you definitely don't fit in my model description since it started off with around here at least.
