Someone recently posted an image that could be just abstract, it was so high key. I found this from my film days of my wife shaving

Now THAT is a high key image! I love the graininess of the image!

I will look at the negative and see if that is possible.

It is amazing how many views and how few comments, constructive criticism is always useful.

It is an old negative, was Tri-X shot at ASA 1,000. First I need to remember where I stored it. I may try using a filter to accentuate the line.

This reminds me of a conversation with a cheese seller, acting stupid I asked which cheese was best, he replied in general the best cheeses are those without added extras, ie with chilli etc added. This was because cheese makers reserve their best cheeses for the 'pure' market where taste and texture is king, the other cheeses are blended with extras to make them 'more palitible'.
Photos are like cheeses the best pictures are those where the photographer/model/gear (and weather if applicable) are working in perfect harmony. They don't need much if any artistic intervention post shot. But like flavoured cheeses, other shots can be used if you know how to enhance them.
I would guess that this isn't Toxdocs best shot of his model but could still be one of his favourites as it invokes memories for him.
This is perhaps one of those 'old' shots that the photographer might look back and wish he could have treated the negative/print differently partly through experience gained in the meantime.
Would a new scan help? Yes, even if he can't improve the resultant image he will have gained more experience, and he will have lots of fun trying and awaken more memories in the process.
By itself the current image is not one that will stop the viewer in their tracks, but for the patient viewer it's well worth a look.

There is like 1 comment to every 250 or more views, I have to agree - amazing. I wonder how many people are collecting photos or just looking for their own prurience?? I know some of you have stated that you don’t always comment if you have nothing to say, but really, there are like 25 regular guys on this section. That can’t add up to 5500 or even 550 views, amiright?? (Yes, some posts recently have had 5500 views. I’m certain that there are posts with way more.)

I think one has to look at what one is expecting. Be happy that you are getting the views. More of us would rather add to the commentary than to just "ditto" others.

I hope that I don't offend anyone by saying, I don't post just to display photos, nor do i look just to see naked women. I use UHH to improve. I suppose I should consider than no one has any suggestions, except one person. I am finding more often, comments about the models rather than the techniques, etc. Just my point of view, perhaps I should not have mentioned who the model was. I thought after the other photographer posted images of his daughter, that the ice was broken, and that honest commentaries could prevail.

I can on only speak for myself. I enjoy seeing pictures of naked people. I enjoy seeing naked bodies. I wish that there were more posting of images. I appreciate the postings that have been made. I wish I had some to post, but I am past the stage of being able to photograph people. Old age does that to one. I am going to be 75. And I do not have the agility needed. I have in my archives many that I did. But they are images that I have not kept permission to use.

I still do street photography because I can set up in a spot that I find useful to find stories.

As to get useful suggestions, it is best to ask for them. In this area, it is hard to suggest how to improve in that the model is a key part in developing the story.

I tried to participate in a model provided environment. I find it difficult to work with the routine they think necessary in posing. Of course they are looking to get into professional modelling. I am looking for one to develop a story.

I hope to see more presentations here.

Well, enough rambling from an old guy.

If you find the negative, try scanning at different settings in the 'curves' then overlay the resulting shots to get the best out of each scan...
