I asked here about the Insta360 X3 a few days ago, and I surrendered and ordered one last night. I kept looking at the videos on YouTube, and I kept being impressed by what it can do. I ordered it tax-free from B&H yesterday afternoon, and it will arrive today. I'm going to give this to my son for his birthday in February. He's already getting enough for Christmas. In the meantime, I'll learn how to use it so I can show him. That's a good excuse, right?

It was the same when my wife needed a new computer, and I got her an iMac. I bought myself a refurb MacBook Pro so I could learn the Mac system and show her how to use it. As the saying goes, "Be good to others, and be good to yourself."

I'm looking forward to playing with the Insta360 and seeing what it can do. One thing I like is being able to set it up anywhere in a group, record, and then select any scene from the entire sphere that was recorded.
Apparently, the initial processing to decide what areas of the sphere you're going to use can take some time.

I love my 360 camera. I recently upgraded from the Insta360 x2 to the x3. I recently did a video with it on facebook.
Here is an image I took yesterday with the 360.
I love to play with this camera. Take 1 image and it can be processed about 5-6 different ways.

Jerry I look forward to seeing your images. Here is a link to some of my 360 images on my website.

Those are beautiful! Like a large drop of water.

I used to live on L. I. - south shore of Nassau, not far from the water. It was the perfect place to grow up.

Thanks Jerry. I also grew up on south shore of Nassau. I am now on the north shore.
Have fun with the camera.

We lived on West Blvd in East Rockaway, with a canal on either side of us. Then we moved to Centre Ave. Great all around.

That's beautiful. I'm going to get the plastic lens covers and the slip-over hood.

I just use the slip over hood. I don't use the plastic lens covers. I do sometimes when traveling put it in an eyeglass case.

This will be for my son, so I'll have to think about that.

Must be for someone else as I don't think I can use such a camera to too long. I would get tired to the kind of images it produces.
