The Japanese named a city Usa, so product could be marked "made in USA", and most of the early Japanese products were poor copies of US items. Gradually, the quality was improved, until now, when it is considered the best. This is true across a broad spectrum of products. There is, however, a great difference between the Japan of those early days and the China of today being compared, and that is in their political structure, which does not bode well for any major trade partner of Communist China. Incidentally, Taiwanese (Formosa!!!) products rank only slightly below those from Japan. Also, I have personal experience in the US with Chinese motorcycles - junk - and not a sailing vessel! - and, never again! Chinese household goods and appliances may or may not work when brand new, and knockoffs are abundant! Lazada is the Oriental equivalent of Amazon. I don't know the actual statistics, but at a guess I would say 95% of the millions of products Lazada sells are Chinese or inferior Chinese counterfeit copies of name brand items. I have purchased a lot from Lazada, but only with extreme care.
