I've observed many instances of that here - just though I'd point it out this time. I've commented several times previously on the phenomenon (practice, really), but never tied the comment to a specific poster.

Been reading an article about a new Phone/Camera being produced in China. Very interesting concept that appears to advance the abilities of the small pocket sized camera that a lot of people have been looking for. The item is the Xiaomi Pro 13. Along with a phone it has a triple rear camera system with main, ultra-wide and telephoto abilities. The most interesting item regarding this camera they say it has a 1 (one) INCH SENSOR, something one does not normally see on a camera of this size. It is according to the article a traditional zoom camera with a 3.2X zoom range, or around 75mm. They report it also comes with one superpower that has never been seen on a zoom shooter like this, the ability to focus at extremely close distances (as close as 4 inches or 10cm). It’s also been reported by Chinese users it’s ability to take photos in very low light is exceptional.
I realize that a lot of the Hoggers here dislike even the thought of a camera phone competing with more traditional cameras but they are in my opinion doing so, more and more. But have no fear as it appears that those in the good old USA won’t have to fear this one. These Xiaomi phones are not officially for sale in your country and it appears that they may not be for some time. Amazon however does list some older Xiaomi phones so maybe in the future you may be able to import one there. One caution here is that this phone may not have the proper 5G connection bands for the USA market. Even though they won’t be available for the US market it’s reported it may become available in the EU and UK market in 2023.
Like I said it is an interesting article and appears to show just how far the camera phone technology has advanced especially by the Chinese companies.

Would you really consider a phone made in China by a Chinese company who controls the OS? Yikes. They are the Universes biggest grafters.
Very good indeed at half the price of a late iphone; I don't mid it be my next phone. US sanctioning all the good stuff from China is not a free trade country. Image US allows EV from China to sell here; Tesla sales will drop tremendously.

This phone will not be available to buy in the U. S. So it is not worth talking about it.

I did read another article about a Chinese Smartphone with Interchange lens capabilities, so the probably of a "Camera First" quality Smartphone is at least on the horizon.

It's an almost exact copy of the next generation iphone which you will see next year. Along with the android 14 which if you follow tech will exceed anything we have seen by a long way
I looked at your link and was even more impressed when I saw the lenses were Leica technology. Usually, Leica products are rated top shelf, so the camera part of this phone sounds pretty neat. I'm still very happy with my set up. A handful of Nikon cameras and an iPhone 13 Pro Max. Eventually everyone catches up and someone has to invent new stuff for us to buy. Maybe by the end of next year we will hear about this being sold in the US. My husband has finally said he will retire and I will need to get him a new phone.
It is banned in the US. Since it is using the new 1 inch sensor from Sony, it will probably be available in other phones.

I would never buy a phone out of China as I agree they would be watching you and your apps.
