I recently purchased this Samsung Galaxy S22 Phone and noticed a WHITE SPOT under the glass of the last lens on the right. The white spot appears on the outer the circular ring surrounding the lens, as you can see from the photo.
My question: Is this a DEFECT that will in any way affect the picture quality when using this lens? I can still return the phone until 1/31/23. I've taken several pictures with it and can't see anything wrong. However, I don't know if it was using this lens? What's your opinion?
My S22+ does not have that. Send it back as defective.

Attached is the camera lens configuration for your phone. The lens in question is the ultrawide camera.
Examine the phone closely by rotating on multiple planes in subdued light to make sure it is not just a reflection.
Next if needed, take a bunch if similar images comparing it to the other cameras. If there is a noticeable difference, other than the normal distortion you expect from a wide angle lens, take it back to your phone carrier and get a replacement. Hope this helps.
These phones are way too expensive to think about keeping it. Return to get replacement.
There is NO DOWNSIDE TO RETURNING it. Get a replacement!

Not even Star Trek had devices this advanced.
FYI: In my S22+ if you use the PRO mode in the stock camera app you can choose the lens by touching UW, W, or T (ultra-wide, wide, or telephoto). I suspect that your camera offers 4 lens choices.
Regardless, for the amount you spent your camera should have no flaws, including blemishes.
Did you put a screen protector over your lenses? If so it might be something that got in during the installation. There appears to be a lot of debris around all the lenses. Wish you would have attached some images taken with the phone camera 10X zoom, which I believe that lens is. I have the same phone and have been greatly impressed with both the Ultra-wide and 10X zoom. Good luck, but I would check to see if it is something that can be removed before sending it in.

I think it's the 12MP lens. Does the wide Angle really boast 102MP?
I have had my S22 Ultra for almost a year. I do not have this defect. It is too espensive to keep your phone. This phone takes fantastic pictures. Send it back and get a new one. You will be glad you did.
