Query? Is the glass quality the same in both the Tameron 18-270mm model B003 and Tamron 18-270mm model B008?

Do I save anything by getting the older model besides cash? Is it a wise move? All present and past owners please jump in!

For me, the IQ was better in the older model. I used both, BUT, on the older model i shot with a D90 and when I got the PZD version I was using a D7000. Also at some apertures both lenses were sharp, but overall, they were just too soft especially at either end. I did love the overall range since I rarely had to change lenses. If they (anybody) ever makes a lens with that range really sharp, all other lenses will be second choice. So, the lenses was very convenient and light but the quality just wasn't there for me.
