It's sixes!!

I also never heard of the "Little Grand Canyon" in Utah. It looks very impressive. I always thought of the "Black Canyon of the Gunnison" outside Gunnison, Co. as looking like a Little Grand Canyon. Great shots though and thank you for making us aware of this sight in Utah.

Nice! Have not heard of this place (and I was stationed at Hill for 5 years).

Jim,
I think your second photograph is really good. I like the haze in the background, it adds a depth to the photo showing several layers of mountains. Also, on double download, your details are great. This is a beautiful setting.

Thank you very much, Steve, appreciate you stopping by and your comments. Have you been to this area?

You are very welcome NDMarks, appreciate you stopping by and commenting. Not many tourists are either aware of or choose to visit this area. It is out of the way and not all that easy to get to. Still to me it is a terrific destination with major Native American pictograph panels, arches and many miles of back country dirt roads to get lost on!!

Jim,
I worked on the power plants in that area in the 1970's but didn't get to do any off-the-main-road touring. I will surely head that way now since you have shown how scenic it is.
Thanks,
Steve

That is some awesome, rugged scenery! You did very well considering the conditions.

You can spend days in this area...there are a few books that give detailed info/photos/history on all the backroads and sights of the San Rafael Swell.
