Nice/sad photos. People spent money and time they didn’t really have to build this church and it seams disrespectful to let it decay like this. Would it have been a big deal for the community to of just maintain it?

HDR was necessary to get detail inside the church without noise.
There are times when churches, little stores, (gas stations), and family homes become
abandoned as the population of the towns just "fold up" and go where the jobs are and
the weather is better for the population's families.
Churches are often the last "pulse beat" of a dying town.
When the people leave; life is over. Jesus takes the congregation to the city.
Close the doors and leave the key under the mat.
Sad, but true.
