I downloaded the install package for Topaz Photo AI into my iMac/Big Sur. I already have several Topaz products. I noted that the download file was of zero bytes. When I went to open the file, MacOS gave me an error message to the extent: "Unknown Developer, cannot verify that the file is clean of malware." I opened System Preferences>Security and unlocked the General tab. I selected Topaz Labs and clicked Open Anyway. Same result as before.
I contacted Topaz Labs by online chat and e-mail and waited a week. Still no answer.
I thought I would poll UHH to see if anyone else has had this problem and how was it resolved.
Typically, a zero byte download means the file didn’t finish downloading. I would try downloading the file again, confirm the file size and try reinstalling.

I definitely agree with SalvageDiver

Never had any problem with my install. I would just delete it and download and re-install.

Same thing happened to me and this was the solution
Similar problem. Different error message. Waiting to hear from Topaz. Not impressed with their customer service.

have you followed the suggestions here about re-installing?
I finally rec'd an e-mail reply from Topaz Labs. They suggested downloading from
https://topazlabs.com/downloads/.
Which I did. The download worked and so did the app. Many thanx to all that replied.
Al
On occasion I have found I already had a file with the same name.
The program would deny me the ability to "install" a duplicate.
Thanx for your input. The issue has been resolved by Topaz.
