Unfortunately I never got used to the cold. I lived near Buffalo NY for the first 74 years of my life. Loved skiing early on but never got used to being cold. Perhaps today’s better clothing would have helped, but instead we moved south.

My cousins live in Buffalo and been there many times....with that lake effect snow...you guys get more snow sometimes than we do!

Yep. More snow than I want to move out of my way anymore. Although Syracuse actually has a higher annual average snowfall. Still, Buffalo is no slouch. I was born and raised there and lived plenty of years through snowstorms. I’m done with that! Now I’ll travel where I want to and enjoy life!

Good for you! We are 3 yrs retired and enjoying be able to go where and when we want, trying to talk the hubby into a road trip to New Mexico after Christmas but with gas prices...not sure I can talk him into it.
