Good Afternoon.
After bumping into two photographers whilst taking my dogs for a walk the other day they recommended I joined this website. My initial question was about photography clubs in the Hampshire/Wiltshire area, but there doesn't seem to be any! So, anyone around the Tidworth/Salisbury area feel free to get in touch.
I have been a photographer for a few years now and I am also a serving soldier in the British Army. This has given me no end of opportunity since my regiment and other aspects of the forces have employed me to cover a huge range of different things, from sport to social to my most recent addition, 6 months in Afghanistan with my D700, which I returned from in October. Next year I aim to move to the army photography team and make photography my full time profession.
I am a new father (my daughter was born halfway through my tour), so I am busy learning the "job" and snapping shots of her wide eyed, smiley face. So expect to be inundated with shots of her!
I am looking forward to meeting like mind people and hopefully utilising the forum to improve my work and help improve others.

Hi Pete, welcome to the hog. And, we here in the States, have a saying to servicemen. "We thank you for your service". this also applies to you too. Thank you.
