After getting my work done at the house today, took a quick drive over to the park and hiked along the trail at the Belton Bridge along the Middle Fork River. Built in 1920, the Belton Bridge was the western entrance to Glacier National Park from 1920 to 1938, and was one of the park’s first major construction projects. Between 1933 and 1938, the bridge was also a vital link on Going-to-the-Sun Road. The bridge is no longer used for vehicle traffic, it is now a link to the trails in the park for hiking, horse back riding, snowshoeing and cross country skiing.

The snow in this area is about 3 ft deep right now but was very easy to walk thru as it is still very fluffy so no snow shoes required for today's hike!
After getting my work done at the house today, too... (show quote)

Enjoyable viewing. We might (and I emphasise might) get 3mm toward the end of the week.

What a wonderful winter set, Cindy. Beautifully done; the Park certainly lives up to its name.

These are lovely images. Snow can be so pretty (when I don't have to be in it). I really love the pictures of the river snaking its way through the snow.

Beautiful snowy scenes! They do greatly resemble B&W, I just had to zoom in to see the brown in the 1st one to be sure it was in color. Snow definitely adds to the scenes!
