Rainy day walk

Today was a rainy day walk. Obviously it was warmer than it has been, in the mid 40s.

I tried a new pair of fingerless gloves which convert to mittens, made of 93%polyester and 7%spandex.

Great idea, but I don't think they'll be good in the colder temperatures. They have a zippered pocket on each a cellphone could go inside.

Have to be prompt! Ranger's idea of waiting now includes wandering around while I'm taking photos!

Even a rainy day provides something worth photographing.

Thanks for looking and for your compliment and question! Ranger doesn't wear gloves no. But sometimes he wears boots of mud!

Thanks for looking and for your compliment and the thumbs-up! Much appreciated 😀. It might be in the thistle family.

Are you shooting these in Portrait mode?

You mention a the gloves had a zippered pocket on each. Did you think of putting those little hand warmers in there? I just shoveled out of the latest WNY snowstorm and put one inside each glove. Sometimes got a little hot (which is better than a little cold). A pocket might have been just what I needed!

Thanks for looking and for your question. Much appreciated 😀. I almost always use landscape orientation. Not sure if you meant portrait orientation or if your phone actually has a portrait mode?

Hey, that's not a bad idea.
My first idea was to put the phone in one, but it is a tight fit and doesn't stay in all the way. I think it would fall out eventually.

I was referring to Portrait mode. My IPhone has a Portrait mode where it will blur the background.

You are right about those types of gloves not working for photography in winter. Your fingers are always the first things to get chilled and are the problem.
