Nice set of photos--enjoyed seeing these.

Side note: the only thing out of character that I see is the white ball point pen.

Though it looks like one, that's not a pen, jaymatt, "Bic" is ancient Gallic for a hand carved turkey femur that holds a feather quill... turkey drumsticks are available next-door!!

I love the last picture, in particular. It has a Renaissance master painter character vibe - until you notice the ballpoint pen and ear plugs. I think the composition of the shots is great.

Given the subject matter, I don't think the graininess of the photos doesn't seem to detract. It seems appropriate.

Thank you OldIkon, very nice of you! I'll apologize for the earplugs... but with the rain, nobody wanted to stuff wet moss into their ears... !!

Well taken, we enjoy such fairs in our area in the summer.

This is one of the most compelling and unique series I have seen on this site in quite some time. The lighting, composition, and expressions you have captured are just remarkable. Grain or no grain, these are wonderful images.

Great series images. Really like #2 as it looks like a replica of a Renaissance painting! Great look.

Nice set. The gain with the high ISO almost makes it look like a painting.

Fun time and nice shots Stephen. Going to try and attend the one here on Saturday if the weather holds out.

Yes, please don’t apologize for the grain - I think it makes that image what it is - excellent. All are wonderful images.
