Lol! Had me a little confused too!
Och! Mae wee hen.......Haggis is fine with tatties and neeps, a wee dram (or a pint of Drambuie shandy) all washed down with a skirl-o-pipes.....

and of course there is Yule for Wiccans, Bodhi for Buddists, Ramadan for Moslems can fall in December and I believe that Zoroastrians have a celebratory day in December. Lets not forget Saint Haggis and whisky day for Hogmany! and of course for an old curmudgeon like me there is always.................... Bah!Humbug day......

so glad you dinna forgit the haggis (not that I would eat it) lol Hogmanay is our big holiday in Scotland or was I should say, you went door to door with your bottle stayed if there was a party, then moved on to the next one, the host of the home gave you a drink to toast the new year and you gave them one from your bottle, never went into someone's house New Year's day without something in your hand, silver coin for wealth, piece of coal for warmth, and the drink to wish you good health in the coming year. My Mum wouldn't let neither my sister or me into the house first because we had red hair, had to get the neighbour up the road to come down and first foot her. Must have the house cleaned papered and painted for the New Year, still keep up the tradition here at least about the house, then play my Scottish videos showing the different parties lol just a wee bit of the history of Hogmanay
Janice is right no 11/31 but notice that there are 366 days of this year that took me awhile to figure that one out!

I thought that might be the case! I would love to be able to work a little seasonal charm on this picture, but haven't a clue how to add words or special effects:0( Have has a bit of a go in Picasso but think it must be winging its way around cyber space so suffice to say I just wanted to add......."May the portly chap in red see all your dreams come true"
I don't suppose you have the odd bit of antler rattling around in your sack?

Haggis is YUMMY... folk have a 'thing' about it but is it wonderfully spicy tasty - especially when served with potatoes (mashed) and neeps (turnips or sometimes swede - mashed) with a delicious thick gravy... Mouth is watering... mmmmm..
