Trying (unsuccessfully) to use iMac (27" mid-2011 High Sierra) as Target Display with PC
Just found the other one I purchased (different mfg) since wasn't sure if anything would work.
The first one worked so the second is unopened and sitting here. It is a male TB C cable with a female mini display port connection. The other cable has worked for several years. If interested... 510-912-9800
