The exposure is 30 seconds to smooth out the surface details on the water. It also served to put some blur in the clouds that were moving slowly from left to right. Nikon Z6 24-120 mm zoom set at about 110.

Beautiful. The soft look suits the soft lighting.

Thank you. It just looked good when I was standing there. I loved the light on the houses; but I did not want choppy water, so I put on an ND filter (10stop) and that also blurred the clouds.

Nice Erich. I need to get out and shoot some long exposure.

Thank you. I like long exposure. I know it can be over-done; but sometimes it gives me just the look I want.

Beautiful image Erich - well done!
I am usually not a fan of blurring the flow of water. But I think this one works because of the cloud blur.

I understand what you mean. Many photographer's, I'll include myself in that mix, se water and immediately grab their ND filters. Sometimes, however, it is a good call.
