The Chubb Bond for the 2nd E. Jean Carroll case to go trial took most of what trump had left for cash on hand.
The fire sale of trump properties isn't going to bring in the kind of cash trump needs to pay the roughly half a billion dollars which trump needs, leading to having to sell a greater number of them.
Don’t forget that loans on properties need to be cleared up before cash can be used to pay the court ordered settlement. trump branded properties have dropped in value, while properties which removed trump's name have increased in value over the same time period.
There's still the legal bills to keep up with. With four active or paused cases, the trump lawyers are still churning away and turning in billable hours invoices which they have a reasonable expectation of getting paid for.
March 25th will be here sooner than trump wants it to be.
Presidential immunity has nothing to do with this case. trump wasn't in office when the business fraud occurred. Although trump did sign a few of the checks to pay off Stormy Daniels while occupying the Oval Office. This is an election interference case, the 2016 election, where trump tried to hide his affair from the voters, disinfranchising many of the voters in the 2016 election, by keeping the truth hidden from them.
trump has brought on all of his legal problems because of his own actions. Had he chosen to stay out of politics, his illusion of wealth could have continued. Unfortunately for trump, politics tends to expose the worst of a person's traits and faults.
Actions have consequences, and the consequences of trump's actions are the indictments against trump in Federal and State Courts.
trump is trying to kick the can down the road in what he owes for the NY Business Fraud case, hoping and praying that the truth social merger will go through. As soon as it does, trump can tap into the funds coming into the newly merged company to use those funds to post the bond owed on that case.
The king of debt is broke!
By the way, the Biden campaign and his supporters are already chanting "four more years", or didn't you hear that during the SOTU?
